Dr. Jennifer Welter, PT, DPT, Fellow of Pain Sciences
Dr. Welter integrates lifestyle medicine, physical therapy, and pain neuroscience into a holistic, whole-person approach to health. She is dedicated to empowering children, teens and their families to Thrive Past Pain and POTS.
Through personalized health coaching, evidence-guided physical therapy and personalized lifestyle medicine interventions, she maximizes her clients’ successes on their journey to wellness.

As a clinician, speaker, author and thought leader in pain science and lifestyle medicine, Dr. Welter specializes in adapting and integrating these principles into a family-focused approach for children, adolescents and young adults struggling with persistent symptoms.
She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University, a Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification through Evidence in Motion (EIM) and Purdue University, and completed a post-doctoral Fellowship in Pain Sciences through EIM with a focus on pediatric pain. Dr. Welter is also an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a certified Health & Wellness Coach.
Seeing the need for a more comprehensive whole person approach to helping young people, Dr Welter developed her program Thriving Teens, an adolescent-focused lifestyle medicine program for teens struggling with persistent pain, POTS, EDS, and functional neurological conditions. Dr. Welter is also the co-author of Ouch! Why Do I Hurt? A Children’s Workbook and Guide to Understanding Pain. Outside of her clinical work, she serves on the faculty of EIM’s Pain Sciences Fellowship and speaks at conferences across the country on pediatric pain and lifestyle medicine. She is committed to educating healthcare professionals and families on proactive approaches to pediatric persistent pain and related conditions.
